Batten Down The Hatches
Editorial design for Batten Down the Hatches, a self-published zine documenting life in Lofoten after summer’s departure. The publication is structured around full-bleed imagery and uninterrupted spreads, allowing the shifting conditions of the islands to unfold at scale. Buildings stand against storms, mountains turn to snow, and rare human presence appears hardened by ice and wind, alongside quieter moments of stillness and absence. The design is deliberately minimal, allowing sequencing and scale to lead. Human presence appears only briefly within a landscape in constant change.
